A few years back we learned that George Orwell’s 1984 is Hillary Clinton’s favorite book. From the way she and hubby Bill have been running this country these last two terms, it’s clear they regard the totalitarian primer as an instruction manual.

Step by step, the Clinton administration has been dismantling the U.S. Constitution and our individual natural rights at an alarming…and increasing pace.

Just how far gone is American society, today?

A recent story reported at the Hal Lindsey prophetic website, hal lindsey oracle dot com proves that Big Brother indeed is watching us.

Recently, 48 thousand motorists received letters from the State of Maryland admitting that their cars had been photographed by roadside cameras and not because they were speeding or breaking any laws. The state wanted drivers to declare their destinations and identify their passengers. Drivers were also asked to state the purpose of their travel.

When asked the rationale for such personal, probing questions, authorities at the Maryland Transit Authority claimed their only purpose was improving transit in the state. Or course, when the roadside cameras were installed, it was claimed they were there only to enhance motorists’ safety. Right. And social security numbers were never to be used for personal identification, remember?

It seems government never stops thinking about us and our welfare, doesn’t it?

As Lindsey’s article points out, such intrusive questions were once asked only in police states like the Soviet Union or Nazi Germany. It’s clear that the American sheeple are still sound asleep or else they would have already demanded an end to such Orwellian schemes.

One of the most powerful movies I have ever had the discomfort of viewing was called "Soylent Green." In it, a vastly overpopulated world agrees to mandatory euthanasia for anyone over, I believe, the age of 40. The slightly used human protein is then processed into a food byproduct called "Soylent Green."

As one of the last rewards of this earthly life, those who are about to die are shown a parting glimpse into this world as it once was…before man took charge and spoiled things once and for all.

Today, I’m experiencing déjà vu. Americans are getting one last look at the Constitution and the freedoms we once knew. They were beautiful. Take a good long look.
