Good news needs to be reported…and repeated.

Last week, we warned you about the dangers of institutionalized lying in the newly created Defense Department’s Office of Strategic Influence.

Today, we’re relieved to discover that office has been officially disbanded.

Note the word, "officially." We cannot report with any certainty that truth will now flow unimpeded from the Pentagon or any other federal office.

We can report that lying will not become a publicly sanctioned and recognized activity in Washington, even if it does remain rampant.

Thank God for even small favors.
