Separation of Mosque and State
Under fair use provisions, I must share with you just a short snippet of Wednesday’s copyright story from WorldNetDaily.
It reads:
Islam studies required in California district
Course has 7th-graders memorizing Koran verses, praying to Allah

In the wake of Sept. 11, an increasing number of California public school students must attend an intensive three-week course on Islam, reports ASSIST News Service.
The course mandates that seventh-graders learn the tenets of Islam, study the important figures of the faith, wear a robe, adopt a Muslim name and stage their own jihad. Adding to this apparent hypocrisy, reports ANS, students must memorize many verses in the Koran, are taught to pray "in the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful" and are instructed to chant, "Praise to Allah, Lord of Creation."
"We could never teach Christianity like this," one outraged parent told ANS.
(end quote)
Ah, but teach Christianity the course book did. From the Inquisition to the Crusades, the faith was painted in a poor light and its teachings were challenged at every turn.
When Christian parents challenged the curriculum, their concerns were ignored and the Islamization of their children continued right on schedule.
I don’t know about you…but the first day that my local school tries pulling this on my eight-year-old, he will be quarantined at home until the Arabian flu epidemic is just a footnote in academic history. I’d rather have him sit out for the rest of the year than submit his formative spirit to this kind of indoctrination.
The larger question is "Why?"
Why would a California school district embrace a religion that treats unbelievers as subhuman and women as second-class citizens? I doubt it’s a reaction to the events of 9-11. Schools buy their textbooks and plan curricula long before the middle of September.
Could Islam be attempting to make inroads into the minds of America’s youth and take control of our next generation without firing a shot? Is this part of a larger plan?
Will Osama bin Laden win the war on terrorism by hijacking our children and turning them into good little mujahadeen? What happened to the so-called separation of church and state or does that not apply when the word "church" is replaced by "mosque?"
And why am I not surprised to see the American Civil Liberties Union sitting out this battle?
The lesson for us all is clear. We must be ever vigilant, paying careful attention to the materials our kids are studying at school and protecting them from the agendas of ravenous wolves hiding behind advanced sheepskins.
