Boy Scouts and the United Way
By Dick O'Connor
In Illinois the matter has already been decided in two cities 75 miles apart. The United Way of Evanston, Illinois has decided to remove the Scouts from their list of recipients of the charitable dollars. On the other hand in Rockford IL., the United Way has just re-affirmed its intention to continue funding the Scouts. The reason being argued in United Way circles is that the Scouts will not allow homosexuals to be in any form of supervision over the Scout Troop. This right has been upheld by no less than the Supreme Court of the United States.
The United Way people are listening to the demands of the gay and lesbian community, who have a clear cut agenda to advance their cause. One part of that agenda is to dilute and confuse the moral teachings of the Scouts. The motives of the homosexual alliance are very much in question. Are these people pedophiles? Do they just want to get the opportunity of corrupting some young boys on a camp out or week- long camporee? Can they prove that they have no ulterior motive for wanting to associate with young boys? Would parents be so willing to allow their young boys to be associated with the Scouts if they were not certain that no homosexual could assault their young boys? Is this drive an idea of the Man/Boy Love Association of North America which the ACLU is now defending on murder charges in Massachusetts?
Did you know that Elton John, a noted "gay" activist recently performed an act on a London stage with a group of male strippers dressed in Boy Scout uniforms? All of this points to the determination of this group to advance its' cause. Why else would a group be so resolute in its' attempts to invade another group that obviously doesn't want them? The main point is that the gay group is trying to subvert the decision of the United States Supreme Court. Certain United Way chapters (there are a total of 1400) are being foolish enough to listen to them. This is an affront to all society, and an obvious effort to increase the membership of the gay community.
The Boy Scouts provide a male role model for young boys to emulate. These true males give of their time and expertise to kids of single mothers, abandoned boys from divorced families, boys who have been deserted by both parents, as well as boys from more fortunate homes. These men try to show the way to manhood. To subject the young minds of the Scouts to the imbecility of feminized, limp-wristed pseudo-males as leaders is no way to teach them to be men.
Suppose Prostitutes Anonymous (fictitious) wanted to infiltrate the Girl Scouts. Would the Evanston United Way refuse to fund the Girl Scouts because they refused to let prostitutes into leadership positions? How about the North American Man/Boy Love Association (a real organization with a web site and all the trimmings)?
Would the Evanston United Way deny funding to the Scout group because they refused to accept these weirdoes? Where would you draw the line? How do we turn this around? We make direct contributions to the Boy Scouts along with other groups and refrain from making any contribution to United Way units like those in Evanston..
Contributors to United Way in Rockford. should continue as in the past. Corporate giving should be reviewed with an eye to making the United Way aware of the consequences of their social engineering practices. If your workplace has a United Way drive, do not be afraid to ask if they support the Boy Scouts. Accountability is the name of the game. Inquire before you give any money. This is a battle for the hearts, minds, and pocketbooks of our people, and charitable donations should not be discriminated against, as the Boy Scouts of America are being discriminated against in Evanston, New York, Philadelphia, Boston, and Evanston United Way(s). If you continue to do so, you will be held accountable. (Afterthought) The homosexual alliance is trying to get legislation passed which will give extra punishment for so-called "hate crimes". Doesn't it make sense to also punish those groups that arouse such hatred in the first place?
