Senior Citizens' Guide to Choosing a Health Care Plan
(and consequently...which candidate to vote for...)
By Dick O'Connor
In choosing between the plans offered by the two camps, we must take all things into consideration. Does the plan offer open-heart surgery? Organ replacement? Brain surgery? Hospitalization until we feel like going home? All of the new medical devices that come along every day to prolong our lives? Does the prescription drug portion of the plan ensure we will get the latest drugs at no cost? Will the plan keep us in our old age and preserve our lives forever? Does the plan offer us eternal life? (That's what we all really want)
Any plan that doesn't encompass the idea of eternal life should be rejected forthwith! We all know how important it is to keep living forever, and that the government should pay for it!! Think of the money we will save by not having to buy cemetery plots and no funerals. We deserve it, and we will vote for the candidate who promises to take care of us from now on!! After all, what are these candidates supposed to do but take care of us?
Senior citizens of the world, unite!! You have nothing to lose but your diapers and wheelchairs! Vote for the candidate who promises a health plan that takes care of us for all time. After all, we deserve it!! (AFTERTHOUGHT: Perhaps we should at least consider God as an alternative along with health plans for Eternal Life. What do you think?)
