Witch Caused Which?

The popularity of the Harry Potter books and now the movie, has created quite a bit of confusion among Judeo-Christian believers.  While some condemn the entire series as "recruitment for Hell", others defend it as mere humor and equal to Disney's frequent portrayal of "good versus evil."  Confusion occurs when we have all, self included, forgotten or neglected to mention a detail to complete the thought we were trying to communicate to others.

Even the highly respected evangelist, Billy Graham has come under attack of late for starting to forget basic principles of salvation when speaking in public.  His record of numerous sermons that did teach good theology seems to be forgotten when he now slips and forgets to stress every single point.  I simply feel age is catching up with him, as it will for all of us sooner or later.  But that is why God brings younger leaders in to "tag team" into the next round with the age old battle against Satan, the accuser.

But just as son, Franklin Graham has stepped in to clarify a few of his elderly father's recent oversights, someone needs to point out the dangerous theology that is mixed in with Harry Potter, disguised with humor and superb special effects.

The concept that everything in the universe is composed of a good side and a bad side, is NOT Christian theology.  That is Hindu theology, yin and yang.  Hindu, as well as every other religion on the planet outside of Judeo-Christian is rooted in the occult.

Christians need to be reminded that when God created the universe, scripture repeatedly uses the phrase "and it was good" as each component was established.  Evil came into the picture only after "free choice" was given to his creations, both angelic and human.  1/3 of the angels chose to rebel and join Satan.  Eve dialoged with a snake, and shared the misinformation with her husband who neglected to check out the source before accepting bad data.  So sin got established. "Missing the mark" the Greek and Hebrew scholars tell us is the direct translation of the word sin.  Not doing what we are told is a better paraphrase for contemporary English.  This translation is confirmed with the other scripture "obedience is better than sacrifice."  After all, sacrifice is punishment for not obeying.

Titus 1:15 (NIV) To the pure, all things are pure, but to those who are corrupted and do not believe, nothing is pure. In fact, both their minds and consiences are corrupted.

It is the ACTION OF MISAPPLICATION of things that is sin.  Things don't offend God, but our misuse of things offends God.  God made all the elements in the universe, from which all things are assembled.  He had a purpose for everything and everything for a purpose.  It is when we consciously oppose his will and purpose that sin occurs.  God condemned the golden calf in the wilderness when the Israelites chose to worship it.  Did he condemn gold?  No.  He required many instruments in the temple to be made of gold.  We must ask, what is the correct application of anything on this planet?  Use versus abuse.

Is humor bad?  Of course not.  Scripture says God laughs.  But what if the humor mocks God or God's principles?  That is misapplication.  I have frequently pointed out the Shriners and the funny motor scooters that are in parades most everywhere.  Few in the audience know the red hats they wear, the red Fez, is a symbol for the mass slaughter of a Christian village about a thousand years ago by Muslim terrorists who killed all the men, women and children in the village, then soaked their hats in the blood of the victims to wear as a trophy of the event.  I doubt if many Shriners even know this.  They're too busy laughing or getting drunk to know what their actions and attire commemorate.

The problem with Harry Potter now is the blending of humor to hide the hidden message in the plot. But Harry Potter is not the first to do this.  We can go back to 1890.  The Ouija board was introduced as a harmless parlor game.  1939:  Wizard of Oz showed the Wizard to be a fraud, but left the subtle suggestion that there were good witches and bad witches.  1940: Disney releases Fantasia.  Primarily a musical masterpiece, yet the imagery in the film shows Mickey, acting as a wizard battling the evil demons around him for good to triumph over evil.  Dare I stress, there is NO GOOD within witchcraft.  The characteristic trademarks of "good" witchcraft are false healings, or any short lived blessing that blows up in your face.  Well doctrined Christians can see through the facade and veneer, but young impressionable minds cannot.  Especially without Christian parents to explain and guide.

All right, so what if people laugh at something evil.  Shouldn't we be mocking Satan anyway?  Not when those around you don't understand the joke.  That creates confusion.

Does this confusion have any consequences to be concerned about?  Look at this time line of historical events and draw your own conclusion.  Scripture shows us over and over again what God did with Israel every time the public strayed from him and started to dabble in occultic behavior, (false gods) for "entertainment."  Even if you disagree with the premise that former actions always yield later results, you will have to agree that the sequence of events I have compiled in this list is that of a slippery slope of progressive decadence.

I hereby present some dates in correct sequence for your own assessment.

September 1st - Germany invades Poland.
September 3rd - Britain, France, Australia and New Zealand declare war on Germany.
September 10th - Canada declares war on Germany.
September 17th - Soviet Union invades eastern Poland

1940
"Fantasia" released (Disney)

1941
July 3, 1941  5th concurring Masonic Lodge member appointed to Supreme Court.  This gives a majority vote to 5 people who in their private lives, have taken an oath to follow the leadership of the lodge over any other authority. All doctrine inside Masonic Lodge is Satanic and incompatible with Christianity.
December 7th - Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor.
December 7th - Japanese declare war on USA.
December 7th - Japanese invade Siam and Malaya.
December 8th - Allies (except Soviets) declare war on Japan.
December 11th - Germany declares war on USA.

Readers should note that in the 1940's, few in the American population had any knowledge of exactly what communism was or taught.  It was simply "another political opinion" by some obscure foreign writer, Karl Marx. Karl was a Mason who hated Christianity specifically and used atheism as a ploy to keep people blind about Christian truth.

32nd degree Mason, Franklin Roosevelt hands over Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania to Joseph Stalin, also a Mason.  The iron curtain drops as soon as Hitler is defeated and the West is denied knowledge that Joseph Stalin continues the mass slaughter of Christians and political opponents for the next 15 or so years.  Best estimates reveal numbers exceeding 30 million people are exterminated, 2 or 3 times that of Hitler's murders.

The western hemisphere portion of the war is brought to an end by the dropping of 2 nuclear bombs on Japan.  Not reported in the press, and ignored by liberal historians is the little known fact that the 2 largest known Christian populations in Japan were in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It is never revealed just who in the state department chose those two targets.  But a few years before Harry Truman (another Mason) approved the drop, Franklin Roosevelt was confronted by a reporter who asked why there were communists in our state department, Roosevelt responded "Many of my friends are communists."

"Casper the Friendly Ghost" starts on TV

1952
Back in the United States, Senator Joseph Mccarthy smells a rat with communism and starts to try weeding known communists out of the federal government.  He is blocked by every liberal Democrat in congress but gives up completely in 1954 when sabotaged by phony conservative, Dwight Eisenhower.  In December of 1954, the Senate voted to censur him by a vote of 65 to 22.

During Eisenhower's administration, he appoints a phony conservative supreme court judge who 20 years later is instrumental in legalizing abortion

1961
Robert Strange MacNamara becomes secretary of Defense under Kennedy. He reveals to the public, yet seldom is mentioned in the press, about his membership in an occultic organization called the Lucis Trust. This organization named after Lucifer practiced rituals of bathing in full moonlight.  Years later, he admits in a book that he repeatedly lied to Lyndon Johnson, which prolonged the Vietnam war.

Supreme court removes prayer from school
November: Kennedy assasinated

1964
Sept. 14 "Bewitched" TV show premieres
Fall:  US rejects peace talks in Vietnam. Only minor skirmishes have taken place up to this point in time

1965
Feb. 7 A Vietcong attack against military barracks at Pleiku leaves 8 Americans dead.  President Johnson retaliates with a 3 year escalation called "rolling thunder."

1966 - 1970
"Age of Acquarius" tune released by pop artists 5th Dimension
Occult symbols used by "peace" movement
Drug abuse popularized by numerous musical groups

1973
"Dungeons and Dragons" introduced as a war game
Abortion legalized by Supreme Court (infants sacrificed to pleasure) 4 of the 5 votes were from Masonic Lodge members.  The 5th was from a socialist.
The official date of the birth of the Trilateral Commission was July 1, 1973
"Exorcist" the movie Original Release Date: December 25th, 1973

1974
America leaves Vietnam in disgrace.  First war lost in American history.

1976

America elects the first "pro-abortion for any reason" candidate over a pro-life candidate.

February 2:  first of a series of school shootings begins in Moses Lake Washington

• political opinion for the pastimes of their lives?

• Jack Benny or the 3 Stooges for humor,
• I'll be picky about the lyrics to any music I listen to,
• I'll be picky about the plots of any movies I watch, and
• I'll get my theology from the Bible, thank you.
