2000: One Disgraced Oddity

By Late Nite LeRoy

Whether 2000 or 2001 starts the new millennium is for legalists to debate. I think we all agree that this has been a transition year to say the least. So as we close out the first year of the millennium that starts with the digit 2, we need to assess some historical facts. Fools will of course choose to relive all the mistakes made in the past, but a few wise people will select to learn from the mistakes of others, knowing that nobody lives long enough to make all the mistakes themselves.

I was born near the start of the "atomic age." A time when even my conservative evangelist father paid more respect to popular science than he should. While he was preaching the Gospel of Truth every Sunday with only 1 hour of "air" time to explain God's truth, the public schools funded by programs set in motion by one of the most evil men of the 20th century, Franklin Roosevelt, were undermining all the student's faith in any religion. These humanist teachers had about 30 hours of airtime to spill their venom each week. And truancy officers made sure you showed up for class. There is no such enforcement of "fellowshipping with like believers" commanded in scripture.

Freed from old superstitions, growing up in this technologically enlightened time, we all looked forward to the great things technology would bring us. Roosevelt and Truman realized the preponderance of Christianity in American culture, so they presented a religious front to the public while incrementally undermining every Judeo Christian principle they could.

The Public Broadcasting System produced and aired a fascinating documentary last week covering the first century in history that had reasonably accurate social statistics from which to analyze human behavior. Ignoring their naturally liberal scholars, at least the numbers were correct, so the viewer could draw their own conclusions.

The high mortality rate of both the infant and the mother in the year 1900 were frightening. But it had been reduced to a fraction of a percent by the year 2000. The documentary credited medical technology. They failed to report the numbers of intentional abortions at the end of the century, which kills every child and often kills the mother. Abortion never penalizes the guilty rapist or irresponsible adulterer. And yet feminists think society has advanced.

The raw data presented did correct two fallacies about women in the workplace. Single women had always been in the work place, even in the 1800's. The only thing that World War Two changed was to bring more married and older women into the work place. The legendary "Rosy the Riveter" was created by the press. 90% of all the women working during the war were
employed in the conventional women's positions of secretaries or nursing.

A strong parallel was pointed out that should scare all of us. As more married women entered the workplace, the divorce rate climbed at the exact same rate. This continued through the entire century as an ongoing factor. But starting in the late 50's, as the biased study done by the convicted sex offender and pedophile, Alfred Kinsey and funded by the Rockefeller Foundation, was being popularized by the new skin publisher Hugh Hefner, the divorce rate got another boost. So did sexually transmitted diseases and teenage pregnancies. The PBS documentary stated these numbers at different locations of the show, but they did not draw the parallel as I have here. Since PBS gets a bulk of its liberal funding from these tax free foundations like the Rockefellers, I doubt they wanted to show that liberal foundation money was actually destroying society.

One of the wisest men I have met in my 49 years of life points out that both religion and politics have to be studied side by side to understand what is actually happening. Nothing happens in the lives of people without there being a spiritual relevance to it. Politics tries to control human behavior. Christ came to save sinners. Without His direction, there is no direction. There is no "good" without His divine wisdom to direct the actions. Just as the basic difference between a democracy and a constitutional republic is whether to follow written rules or the whims of the mob, any non-believer will fail miserably to attempt good when they do not comprehend all the wisdom of the universe which God Himself created. We must follow our Maker’s instructions or face certain destruction. And the destruction is not from vindictive action by God, but the actions themselves are flawed and lead to certain doom.

Scripture noted in Daniel 12:4 "...until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase." The last 100 years brought us from Kitty Hawk to jet aircraft which put world travel into the reach of middle class. It brought us from "Dr. Watson, come here, I need you" to the internet which is now in the hands of well over half of the US population and gaining exponentially to reach the entire world.

Increased travel also meant diseases could spread around the globe faster than any time in history. Readily available knowledge has allowed deranged people like Timothy McVey or other demon possessed individuals to access awesomely destructive power.

Knowledge without the wisdom of God's guidance is dangerous to everyone. Leaders who try to rule outside of God's guidelines are everyone's enemies. Romans 13 tells every SOUL, leader and subject alike to adhere to the power of higher authority, which is God's rule. No leader has any right to step outside of God's standards. Many have. History shows what happened. God is patient, allowing man to repent and correct matters, but even God's patience has a stopping point. John the Baptist was executed for launching a frontal attack on the immoral life of a political leader of his day. Jesus complemented John the Baptist as being the most righteous man born of women. We should all covet such an honor. Herod eventually met with his own destruction, but not after being warned by God's servant John.

A critical point that many, if not most good Christian theologians overlook is to study the actions of Satanic occult behavior down through history. It is quite true we must all first study God's truth to know it and thus gain the wisdom to distinguish truth from lies. But too many Christians are oblivious to strategies of war. There are parallels between physical battle and spiritual. Any soldier will tell you he must follow the instruction of his commanding officer. The commander positions himself so as to be able to view the entire battlefield and know where to direct his forces effectively. Disobedience on the front could lead to disaster for all. But just what is the commander supposed to be doing? He has to be analyzing the actions of the enemy! If he doesn't, the enemy will engulf him with so many surprises, the battle will be sabotaged my his own stupidity, not the laziness of the foot soldier. It is the supply officer who is responsible for getting daily food, water and ammunition to the battlefront, NOT the commander.

So what are today's preachers preaching to the flock? Warm fuzzy stuff like how to get along at work, how to pamper your spouse, improving your self-esteem, or twisting the doctrine of forgiveness to include what God himself condemns to Hell. How many preachers are teaching, or even aware for that matter that Satan has infiltrated government, schools and even church leadership? Christ himself quoted Zechariah "I will strike the shepherd and the sheep will be scattered." This reveals the most powerful battle strategy I've ever noticed. It is the one single point that the classic game of chess is designed around. Capture the king, and the game is over.

This holds true in physical battle and in spiritual battle. In spirit, we battle ideas and concepts that guide our actions. Satan's battle plan is to capture the minds of our leaders, both political and religious, which scatters or confuses the sheep. The first step of both tyrant and good shepherd alike is to demand 100% allegiance. This is only acceptable when the leader remains faithful to God's laws. But when Satan corrupts a leader, the sheep are led off a cliff to everyone's destruction.

Technology only helps mankind when it is guided with God's wisdom. Nuclear energy produced electricity economically, but also became the bomb. Microbiology created powerful vaccines but also led to the creation of AIDS and mycoplasma used in numerous biological warfare agents. Genetic studies identified what caused certain ailments, but it is being used as an excuse to follow the Frankenstein activities, and bigoted master race philosophy of the German Nazis. Billions of dollars had to be spent in 1999 to fix a common computer glitch that would have taken down all of high tech society if nothing had been done.

Christ's appearance on earth was to benefit all mankind. The gift of salvation is simple and available to all. His word has been miraculously kept in tact down through the centuries. The only passages in question have no relevance on Salvation. Who cares what the attendance was at an ancient feast? But no passage identifying who Christ is or what he expects of us conflicts with any other passage. In this end time of increased travel and knowledge, it has become the sheep's responsibility to study God's word and make sure our conventional leaders are not ignoring the real enemy and leading us to destruction. When we discover a leader following Satan, we owe it to our fellow sheep to rebel and demand adherence to our creator's standards, both in Church leadership and in government. Leaders who do follow God's word are to be encouraged and supported with all of our ability. Those who don't should be warned first, then abandoned when it becomes apparent who they are really serving.

Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.
