Who Needs Taxes Anyway?

Two economic terms we should concern
ourselves with are: privatization and nationalization. Nationalization is to be feared and
avoided at all cost. That is when a much too powerful government takes over a private
enterprise. Communists and Nazis are noted for this. But the opposite is when a government
operation is handed over to the private sector to operate. Most
of the time this is good, but care must be taken to prevent a smaller group of elitists
from becoming more powerful than the original politicians. The voting populace must retain
some control over the matter to prevent abuse.
Good example of nationalization: public highways
Bad example of nationalization: social security
Good example of privatization: UPS, Federal Express, mutual funds, Internet
Bad example of privatization: Federal Reserve, toll roads
An excellent proposal to eliminate taxes altogether is posted over at TruthRadio's web
site which suggests only taxing the Federal Reserve since they can create money out of
thin air while the rest of us cannot. http://www.truthradio.com/tax.html
Another proposal has just surfaced. That of privatizing the military. In olden days they
were called mercenaries. But today they could be referred to as independent compliance
enforcers. A graphic representation of this concept was sent to me recently. You be the
judge.
