Banana Republic or Marijuana Democracy
By Late Nite LeRoy

Matt Drudge reported that many world newspapers are now referring to the US as a Banana
Republic. But a republic follows a constitution, a set of rules that no simple vote will
change. Karl Marx liked democracies because they always degenerate into a mob rule
scenario and vote in free handouts to the masses at the expense of the few. A tyrannical
government inevitably steps in, creates an elite power house and takes away freedom from
everyone else.
We now have a rhetoric war trying to debate whether a pot smoking criminal that thinks
women should be able to kill babies anytime is any better than a recovering alcoholic who
thinks women should only be able to kill very tiny babies.
Each claims to be a Christian. I challenge both of them. Al Gore's own book attacks
Christian principles and tries to lead the reader into worship of the planet earth. George
W claims he had a conversion experience talking to Billy Graham. I hate to be the one to
wake up the evangelical movement in this country to the realization that they have taken a
very righteous evangelist and created a celebrity.
Have you ever met a big name celebrity? I don't mean did you sit in a large audience
during a concert, but did you ever meet a big name celebrity face to face? I have met 3 or
4 in my lifetime. The same thing happens every time. My mind goes blank and I say stupid
things. It's basic human nature.
Judging by George W's continuing foul mouth, allegiance to his CFR and secret society
buddies, I don't see the trademark of a genuine Christian. That is to have a compelling
drive to live and promote the righteous life that Christ lived and to have everyone put
their saving faith in Jesus
Christ as the Jewish Messiah and savior of mankind.
I readily admit I see much more human integrity in George W than in Al Gore. I feel
personally that God IS trying to speak to George W and that he is most likely to wake up
and do the right thing if put in office. Al Gore sold his soul to Satan and will do
anything to grab power. But it is a horrible tragedy at this point that truly righteous
candidates like Ezola Foster, Alan Keyes, Howard Phillips, and Pat Buchanan were tossed
aside in favor of 2 phonies that will not change much of anything for good, but will
continue to appease the masses.
The New World Order wants us to think it is a big battle between conservatives and
liberals. The real battle is for total power over mankind and taking away everyone's
freedom. God warned us of this spiritual battle from Adam and Eve in the garden all the
way up to the terrible reign of the
antichrist in Revelation. We know Christ will ultimately overcome, but scripture does not
tell us how long the battle will be prior to his calling us home. Millions of Christians
have been killed overseas, and they weren't raptured out of the way. As long as believers
remain, we must continue to proclaim truth to the world. The cost may be great, but almost
never convenient.
Pat Buchanan assessed the vote count dilemma quite well when he said running two
homogenized candidates with nearly identical platforms against each other, aiming for the
same moderate center of American opinion, will, of course, result in identical votes. It
saddens me to see many Christians aiming for the same immoral middle ground that the world
aims at. The Comedy Channel on cable TV thought it was clever to call the election
campaign up to November 7th, "Indecision 2000."
They didn't realize they had created a long-running series that may outlast Gilligan's Island.
