BePaid Rolls Out AdVision Controller

The much too long awaited roll out of the BePaid AdVision Controller finally arrived last week. Extensive effort was invested to make the software system reliable, but delayed the roll out months past original target dates. Apparently in chronological order for all enrollees, everyone is being notified by e-mail that it is their turn to download the 1.4 megabyte file, install it and start making money.

I freaked unjustifiably when I had a system crash after using it myself. I have since isolated the problem to be the blame of some other paid 2 surf programs I was using the same day. The Advision controller is simple and reliable. It magically appears on your desktop (behind the up front application, so you have to look for it periodically). The download takes about 5 minutes on a 56k connection. The install is about :30 seconds. You get a complimentary ad from BePaid themselves as a foretaste of what's to come. They even pay you $.20 to watch it. And it did take only about :30 seconds to both download and watch. The page ends with 2 options at the bottom of the frame: proceed to next ad, or visit the web site of the advertiser you just watched (on your own time). I wonder if advertisers will have enough sense to have their ads available for re-viewing at their own site. I can just imagine some company doing a classically funny ad like the cat herding super bowl ad and I'd like to watch it again on my own time.

If you have not gotten your e-mail yet, or you think you might have deleted it by mistake, just go to the BePaid site, click on "My Account", enter your ID number and password and if your turn has arrived, it will be noted at the top of your "My Account" page. Just follow the instructions.

AllAdvantage is loosing my enthusiastic support. Their banner has crashed my system too many times to count and they just adopted a new policy on payments. No checks will be issued until your balance is over $30. Since everyone is limited to 25 hours at $.50 / hour, we can only make $12.50 per month. Two months totals only $25 and still does not get a check. Apparently a bean counter figured this would cut their postage cost by 33% mailing checks every 3rd month instead of 2. But if they used PayPal, they could have cut postage costs to ZERO and everyone would get their money 2 or 3 days sooner. I can't believe how some companies still like to waste money.

And RadioFreeCash lives up to their name as of the 15th this month and is now logging your listening hours for CASH payment. Up to this point it was paid out with Amazon.com gift certificates. My experience thus far shows their software does a better than honest job of logging your time. Minutes when the Internet was too congested to deliver streaming music to me were still credited to me for payment. So now you can get paid for listening to silence. Good news for you, bad news for their advertisers.
