Vermont's Homosexual "Marriages" Will Affect all 50 States
By Vermont State Representative Nancy Sheltra for WebToday
WASHINGTON, DC, August 28, 2000 (WebToday)--Vermont's civil union (homosexual marriage) law will affect every state in our nation.
The largest percentage of the individuals receiving Vermont's civil union certificates are not Vermont residents.
Recently, a New York homosexual couple was "united" in the Derby Line, Vermont Universalist Church, by Revered Dwinell. They shared their plan with Reverend Dwinell to go back to New York after the ceremony and sue New York State for recognition of their civil union.
New York State Senator Tom Duane is drafting legislation similar to Vermont's first-in-the-nation civil unions statute.
The majority of Vermonter citizens are disgusted with the civil union law. They are realizing the political nature and lack of moral character that has been created, and supported by the majority of people in Vermont's three defined branches of government.
Political apathy is slowly being replaced by activism.
Pray for Vermont and the nation, that it is not to late to elect candidates that will rescind this legislation this January.
