LITTLETON, COLORADO, April 22, 1999 (WT)-- The mystery may be solved in the Trench Coat Mafia (TCM) student slaughter at Columbine High School.

It is has been reported in the Daily Sentinel in Grand Junction Colorado and in the Philadelphia Inquirer that TCM members were believed to be homosexual and/or bi-sexual.

Athletes (a.k.a. "jocks") in the school would call the gang members "freaks" or "homos."

Mike Smith, a senior and state champion basketball player for Columbine High said the other jocks would egg TCM members on calling them "gay," admitting the situation got pretty intense on a daily basis.

Smith said the trench coaters and the jocks fought nearly every day after school and that school officials were aware of it but did nothing to stop it.

After about a month of "infomercial-type" coverage of Kosovo, something has finally captured the attention of the mass news media and their "experts" and "authorities" they choose to interview on their talk shows.

Their new darling story is Trench Coat Mafia student slaughter in Littleton, Colorado. The commentators each expound on some high sounding theory of what might have caused students to kill.

I don't claim to be the brightest person in the world, but it seems quite apparent that since public schools began teaching sexual conduct, including how to use condoms and began passing them out to students, this has been accompanied by total elimination of God and bible reading or to anything remotely close to an absolute ethical base, can they expect a student to know that murder is wrong?

School nurses are now making abortion referrals and handing out condoms.

All references to God have been taken out of the schools, and any absolute values with respect to traditional values are not even mentioned. This could be a big contributing factor to the tragedy. Schools teach humanism and with humanism it is "do anything that you want to do."

The media lightly references violence in some television programs as a contributing factor, but they continually neglect to get to the root of the problem. Why should it surprise the liberal media that violent outbreaks would explode in the very institutions have taught them that anyone can set their own ethical standards.

The "success" of Clinton in "beating the sex rap" with Monica only compounds the problem. He has been a terrible role model "winning" because as it has given students newfound confidence to add to their idolization of reckless sports figures and their "alternative lifestyles" anything goes morality. The president has sent the message that the economy is the most important thing and that personal conduct doesn't matter. Society has become so neutered that Clinton's perjury and gross sexual misconduct doesn't matter because "the economy is good."

Finally, there is the rumor spreading on the Internet that the trench coat mafia members were homosexual or bi-sexual. Public schools from kindergarten to 12th grade say nothing negative about homosexuality or casual sex, resulting in tacit approval of a myriad of irresponsible conduct.

The fact remains that homosexuality promiscuity have been highly detrimental to our society contributing to the spread of AIDS and now this extreme violence.

The silence by the media about this aspect of the "mystery" is almost deafening.

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, ILLINOIS, April 22, 1999 (WT)-- Dr. Paul Lindstrom, Home Schooling Superintendent for 34 Littleton, Colorado high school students, commented on the student shootings at Columbine public High School in Littleton, Colorado.

Stated Lindstrom, "Thirty four high school students from Littleton, Colorado were studying in the safety of their homes in Littleton on Tuesday, April 20 when mayhem and murder took control of Columbine High School. They are students of the Arlington Heights, Illinois based Christian Liberty Academy home schooling educational program where Lindstrom is Superintendent of Schools.

Dr. Lindstrom, a pioneer of the modern home school movement, and whose academy is presently educating tens of thousands of home school students in all 50 states spoke out today on the events of Tuesday at Littleton's high school.

"My heart goes out to the family and friends of the victims of this senseless slaughter," stated Lindstrom. "We are praying for them. And how thankful I am that our 34 high schoolers were preserved from the sights and sounds and the horror and anguish of this 'social and ethnic cleansing' against jocks, blacks and Hispanics."

"I would liken what is happening to our youth today to AIDS. AIDS has never killed anyone, but what it does do is to destroy one's immune system and then other diseases that shouldn't kill you become fatal. Teenagers today face a virus of violence. Television violence, music violence, video violence, movie violence and computer game and arcade violence have never killed anyone. What they do, however, is to destroy a child's violence immune system. Our children today are being conditioned or desensitized to violence. Over and over again they see people being shot, stabbed, raped, brutalized, degraded and murdered. We are raising a new generation of barbarians who have learned to associate violence with pleasure. It reminds me of the Romans cheering and snacking as the early Christians were slaughtered in the Colosseum.

The situation in our violence prone public schools is so serious that I believe our children in every public school with children in fourth grade or above there should be metal detectors and at least several armed teachers who are well trained in marksmanship. Had such been true at Columbine High School, perhaps the onslaught could have been minimized."

"What we need in our schools is a return to biblical morality, prayer, old fashioned discipline and respect for authority.

As things now exist, I think there should be a sign over every public school entrance: 'WARNING-- THE SURGEON GENERAL HAS DETERMINED THAT THIS PLACE CAN BE DANGEROUS TO YOUR MENTAL, SPIRITUAL AND PHYSICAL HEALTH.' "
