An inside look into the radical "gay" agenda

By A.B. Magnus

In recent years, homosexual activists have used many venues to successfully advance their agenda. However, there are times when this activism is entirely inappropriate. And what went on at a publicly funded teachers' workshop in Massachusetts will illustrate this point.

In March, students ranging in age from 14 to 21 were invited to a conference on establishing a "safe school environment." At least that is how the workshop was presented. Some might say the event was used to indoctrinate children into the homosexual lifestyle--under the guise of increasing "sensitivity" among young people.

Fortunately, a member of an organization called the Parents Rights Coalition taped one of the so-called "sensitivity sessions" and what went on could only be described as shocking.

The taped seminar was led by three homosexual state employees. From the beginning, it was obvious their message had little to do with preventing violence against homosexual and lesbian students.

The children were asked explicit questions about homosexual sex. They were also given tips on how to approach another member of the same gender for sexual relations. But the group facilitators went even further. They described specific sexual acts which decorum prevents me from describing in a letter to a family oriented newspaper. Also discussed in the workshop were the subjects of bondage, pedophilia, group sex and other specific sexual acts.

As you might expect, the three adult state employees no longer have their jobs. However, some questions need to be asked. Why did such an event take place--paid for with taxpayer dollars? And, is this kind of "workshop" happening anywhere else?

For those who might think this occurred because of a temporary lapse in good judgment, one of the fired employees made a revealing statement shortly after their dismissal, saying, "I don't know what all the fuss is about. We have been doing this for years."

To escape parental oversight, such programs often take place after school hours. In many states, parents must give consent over the content of sexually oriented curriculum. However, when children attend after hour events, some of these parental notification safeguards do not exist.

The Massachusetts workshop was sponsored by a group called GLSEN (Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network). The incident is being litigated in a state court because there are people who do not want the tape made public.

Another homosexual rights organization, GLAD (Gay/Lesbian Advocates & Defenders), has filed the suit against the parents group. GLAD represents homosexual interests from a legal perspective.

The parents of the students got yet another surprise, when a Superior Court Judge issued a gag order concerning the contents of the tape. For weeks, interested parties were restricted from discussing what was on the audio tape. Even the press could not disclose the tape's content before the Judge's decision was eventually rescinded.

Sex education in public schools has been a controversial subject for many years. And even the most progressive educators should agree what went on in the Massachusetts workshop crosses the boundaries of good judgment.

Parents in all states need to know if such workshops are taking place in their children's schools.

7-year-old kills 6-year-old: Why should this surprise us?

By Dr. Paul Lindstrom

March 3, 2000--The world was shocked by news from Michigan that a first grade student shot and killed another first grade student in his public school classroom in broad daylight. But why the surprise?

If you sow an apple seed, in a generation you will have an apple tree. If you plant a peach pit, in a generation you will have a peach tree. If you sow millions of seeds of secular humanism in millions of students, in a generation a certain percentage of them, along with their second generation offspring, will exhibit the fruit thereof.

Our public schools have blatantly banned biblical morality from the classrooms, and supplanted in its place the false philosophy of moral relativism along with the false religion of secular humanism.

We shouldn't be surprised when students, surrounded by a culture of death and baptized into humanist education with a daily immersion, even from the earliest grades, of evolutionary philosophy, go "ape" in school. Why the surprise when some of our culture's offspring behave like King Kong, thump on their chests or beat on each other and their teachers? No, we shouldn't be astonished even as some of these same children, inbred in the meaninglessness of life, survival of the fittest mentality, a values neutral environment, and the mantra that life is cheap, decide to abort life in the womb or the life of one's peers. Anger, hatred, or inconvenience are all justifiable reasons in the minds of many. Humanist education, not guns, is the problem.

If we think that adding to the plethora of already existing gun laws is a solution, we are sadly mistaken. Such thinking is a recipe for disaster.

It's only "natural" that some teenagers at Columbine would apply their lessons to real life. Columbine High was one of the early pioneers of Outcome-based Education. Years ago they were "ahead of their time" teaching "death education," with teachers asking students to "visualize" themselves as corpses in caskets. By this sort of teaching one might argue that the Michigan shooting on Leap Year day was actually a leap forward.

During my many speaking appearances over the past three years I have predicted that public school violence would escalate quickly. In anticipation, I've called for armed guards to be stationed in the halls of all public schools in America.

But as bad as the recent flurry of school shootings has been, the continued teaching of humanism in public school classrooms is even more dangerous, and that if left unabated the future killings will dwarf the tragedies of the past. The morally bankrupt humanistic propaganda being injected into millions of tender young minds is creating human time bombs that will likely "go off" in ever increasing frequency in the near future.

We must eliminate the false religious teachings of humanism and moral relativism from the classrooms and replace them with the traditional biblical morals that had been the main stay of our nation since our founding fathers fought the revolution for religious and political freedoms.

But rather than admit they are wrong, many school administrators, liberal politicians and media pundits are scratching their heads, searching for some cosmic or esoteric reason that might explain the escalating public school violence.

We must unashamedly welcome God back into the classrooms and return to teaching time tested phonics-based reading, writing and arithmetic. (word count: 632 words-- edit to fit if necessary)

Note: Dr. Lindstrom is Superintendent of Schools at Christian Liberty Academy, a private Chicago area school with about 1,000 students. He is an early pioneer of the home school movement. His successful Home Schooling program educates 50,000 students in 50 states and in dozens of countries. His education system has produced many national merit scholars and his students frequently fall in the upper 90 percentile in standardized tests.
