IS GLOBAL OIL A LINK TO WTC AND THE WAR IN AFGHANISTAN?
Commentary by WebToday Columnist J. Walter Diamond

November 3, 2001 (Web Today--) What is difficult to believe by most red-blooded Americans are those elements concerning
whether our government would sanction any un-American activity, let alone breed a black campaign of bombing, anthrax or terror in any form, against U.S. interests and our own citizens.

Yet in the last count, there were some 13 members of our United States Senate who are card-carrying members of the Council on Foreign Relations. These CFR members genuinely believe that it is in the best interest of America to promote a global one-world government and they stand ready to promote and align their important political vote to see this hidden agenda realized, whatever the cost.

Since these noble men and women do not advertise their affiliation, it may be a good idea to present them to the public someday and watch exactly what programs they sponsor and vote for in their six-year terms. If we do not agree with their elitist voting records, we can always vote them out of office! There are far more CFR'S hiding in Congress and most likely they make up 15% of members of the House. (60 or so). Their terms are only 2 years.

The theory continues. At least according to Eastman, a well-funded renegade group of the CIA and the Mossad had a keen interest in seeing the anti-drug government of the Taliban fall from grace and power, in order that they could keep their drug profits flowing and the international bankers happy. This, according to his account, was their initial primary motivation in the 9/11 attack.

Keep in mind, and this is important, none of these theories have any solid proof to back up these assertions, which makes this very dangerous fodder indeed.

But knowing a little bit about the murky history of these secret societies, anything is and could be possible.  Especially when massive government spending is on a rapid rise, or there is a lurch for more government control and lastly, if there is a war footing; involving American money, billion dollar troop deployments and questionable efforts--(i.e. troops deployed in a series of long  un-winnable overseas deployments, as in Viet Nam).

Of course all of these elements are present in the so-called (undeclared) 'War on Terrorism.' It is interesting to quote Bush's
National Security Advisor, Condolezza Rice, in remarks she offered in Houston in March of 2000, prior to Bush winning the presidency. We must remember that under Bush One, she held the important position of being the head of Russian and Eastern- European Affairs. These were random comments she made and the following remarks [and the quotes] are exact: "We need a common enemy to unite us." 'We need a new threat as a marker to where we will lead." And finally, "Separation of powers is a problem for foreign policy."

Let me add that the strength and heart of our Democracy is the fact that we have three separate powers within the government, so that a political balance, making the best decisions for our nation could be maintained in all circumstances.

To construct government in any other fashion would lead us straight away from a true democracy toward a fascist police state.
Broad individual rights and liberties would be crushed in favor of the ruling party. This seems to be the thrust of what Rice is advocating in her chilling comments. Perhaps Dr. Rice has been spending too much time thinking about Russian politics and
her true beliefs are slipping carelessly out in her strange remarks?

Eastman goes on to point out that Merchant banker Giffen represents oil interests in Kazakhstan and helped promote difficult oil swapping contracts as the senior U.S. executive to that country's President.

Additional motivation for a terror attack on New York's Twin Towers, is represented in the some $6 trillion oil dollars available in the Tezik oil fields. Furthermore, a large intercontinental pipeline needs to be built across Afghanistan to assure Europe and the west of continued energy supplies in case supply lines diminish in the Middle East.

So now we have vast oil fields, international banking and massive drug interests, all of which according to Eastman needed to be protected from the Taliban's meddling hands. It is worth noting that any one of these three elements may be of sufficient enough concern to cause elite societies to take action.

More importantly, it would take something like a world trade center tragedy to motivate the American public to agree to spend and commit billions--and maybe several trillions--of tax payers dollars to underwrite a massive bombing campaign in this dirt poor third-world country, thousands of miles away.

From the elite's evil point of view, shattering a few thousand lives, destroying an American icon and sending out a few hundred
letters containing Anthrax, would be a small price to pay for such large potential dividends. (Rich oil and poppy fields and the
bolstering up of International Merchant Banks, in a declining world economy).

Especially so, providing the elite could work it out so that the American tax payers would put forth untold billions into their greedy poclets  while paying 100% of the tab, for the little war that would put things right again from their perspective.

Words for thought and reflection. More to come.
