IS GLOBAL OIL A LINK TO WTC AND
THE WAR IN AFGHANISTAN?
Commentary by WebToday Columnist J. Walter Diamond
November 2, 2001 (Web Today--) When you set about to read and review commentary, you must remember that there is a wide gulf between factual reporting and speculation. Commentary is fine, as long as the thoughts are well defined and not presented as factual reporting to the reader. It is kind of like thinking out loud, with some thinking being a tad better than other musty brain splatter.
With the spin we are getting on the nightly news in millisecond, well-groomed sound bites, one may be further ahead sticking with commentary, at least with commentary you get raw truth, even if it is a bit salty, far-fetched and opinionated. Linking the massacre that happened on 9/11 to anything other than the administration's Red White and Blue gospel is going to be a bit tricky, in that they have so carefully wrapped the flag around the assault and have well defined the tragedy in hours upon hours of moronic and hypmotonic-glaze TV. Oh look, I think I just coined a new phrase!
Mr. Eastman does a wild and credible job of digging for the truth, even though, at times, it seems like a cheap, made-for-television sensational explanation of what might have been the truth. Part of the problem with any of the conspiratorial thinkers is that they have two strikes against them before they even get out of the box.
In part, they lend to their own undoing by supporting less-than-middle-class life styles. By not adhering to the great wave of public thought and opinion, they have become weird--in their appearances if not in their thinking.
Unlike the other more fortunates, they have not allowed their thoughts to be carefully crafted over the last 75 years by our media gurus and make-believe Hollywood want-to-be life styles. So when conspiratorial thinkers do have an original thought, real or imagined, they come off as odd, freaky and unusual.
On the other hand, the great collective culture we survive within presents us with unreal realness! Most of us have been lied to so often and on such a regular basis by our government, the media and our own misconceptions, that we have well earned misplaced values in our apathetic, telepathic culture.
That we then go about miserably uninformed with mountains of uncritical pre-occupations, labor and obsess over sex, drugs, wine-coolers and materialism, move in and out of what should be long term relationships, (calling this 'normal' behavior) reeks of universes about ready to collide with uncollected madness. To all of this everyday mayhem we then righteously refer to it as 'normal.'
Certainly history will have to review what we paid to rap artists and the little we spent to pay teachers who educate a future generation of our children, as a strike against our weaving and bobbing culture. Now on to Mr. Eastman, great sleuth and conspiracy thinker of the new millennium.
Like the Kennedy assignation, 9/11 will be doomed to be pulled at, speculated about and be impregnated with one-hundred and one theories, each one more compelling than the last, each an effort to prove something other than what the administration will serve up to the collective "us" for dinner over the next three decades.
Eastman starts his theory by pointing out that the CIA and the Mossad were dealing the Afghan-opium, "China-white." They were attempting to protect their multi-trillion dollar trafficking operation and supply fields in Northern Afghanistan. Trillions of dollars were being funneled into American and British merchant banks, which were being assaulted by the Taliban tribal militia, who were eradicating the poppy fields in favor of their extremists life-style, Eastman purports.
Some of this is true, as far as we know. But it is highly unlikely that the CIA or that Israel's Mossad were in the drug business that deep. While the agency has a less than perfect record, to say that they run the far east opium trade is a 'stretch,' at best.
Nevertheless, these agencies have had mysterious drug connections in
the past and the monies they earn from these nefarious activities need
not be reported to congressional oversight committees. The CIA has been
accused of plotting assignations and has also been linked to global elite
societies like the Trilateral Commission and the Council on Foreign Relations.
We have
not made a dent in the so-called 'war on drugs' even after spending
billions upon billions in the effort--and it does make one wonder what's
going on.
Eastman also is quick to point out that in fact it is the Afghan Northern Alliance forces who are the real drug lords, who would protect the drug trade and the flow of money if they were to be installed as the new corrupt government.
What I have learned from all my study of the movement toward Globalism and the elite's relentless effort to pursue a one-world government is that often there is a mysterious 'switch' where right becomes wrong, left is now right and things are presented as if they were true, when in fact they are false.
History tells us that these wealthy men crave power and wealth and often have financed both sides of most of the wars, which they have helped to create and have profited greatly from and thrive on all forms of calamity and international disruptions.
Stick around, we will have more information in the next few installments
