Reno Thinks Boy Scouts are a Hate Group
WASHINGTON, DC, August 31, 2000 (WebToday)-- Apple pie, motherhood and Boy Scouts may have been been the American ideal for decades, but Janet Reno thinks quite differently.
Now she's branding the Boy Scouts as a "hate group" to add to her others, Home Schooling families, Evangelical Christians or anyone who is pro-Constitution.
The Renonista-ClinGorian chant for today is that the Boy Scouts may be violating a White House executive order for "special legal protections to be given to homosexuals."
It has been revealed that an internal memo from the Interior Department's Bureau of Reclamation has asked for a probe of an upcoming Boy Scout Jamboree to be conducted at Fort A.P. Hill in Bowling Green, Virginia. In the memo it asks for information on whether or not the Boy Scouts receive direct or indirect monetary assistance from the federal government so that the Scouts can be banned from camping on federal land grabs .
But the White House is not alone in their lust to destroy this wholesome organization. Liberal Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey is attempting to pass a law that will revoke the Boy Scouts congressional charter that has been in place since 1916!
Woolsey says the charter should be revoked because "A policy of excluding homosexuals is contradictory to the Federal Government's support for diversity and tolerance and should not be condoned as patriotic, charitable, or educational."
